Children’s Safeguarding & Changing Room Policy

Our school’s children safeguarding policy is set to protect our children. Changing rooms at our pool are solely for children’s use only during school hours. No adults are allowed to enter.

If your child is unable to change independently, please use the independent disabled toilet or change on the bench by the poolside. You are strongly advised to change your child before coming to swim.

 

Course Placement

If a student is found not to meet the requirements for the course they are enrolled in (e.g. insufficient swimming skill level), as confirmed by the coach or pool manager during the lessons, ESAHK will transfer the student to an appropriate course. This may involve a different day or time.

 

Make-up Lessons

You are eligible to apply for up to three make-up lessons for any missed lessons. Make-up lessons must be scheduled within the same term as the missed lesson and are limited to three times per term.

Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, we do not offer credits for missed classes. You will only be eligible for make-up lessons. Please note that we do not offer refunds for missed lessons.

Exception for Baby & Parent classes: For Baby & Parent classes held on Saturday mornings (as these classes only run on Saturday mornings), make-up lessons are not available. Credits will be offered instead.

You MUST inform us by email before the lesson starts. Otherwise, you will be deemed to have attended that lesson.

 

Weather Cancellation Policy

Classes will be cancelled if a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or a Red/Black Rainstorm Warning is issued. In such cases, no make-up lessons or refund will be provided.

For summer classes: If any of the above signals is hoisted before 8:00 a.m., all classes for that day will be cancelled.

For regular term classes: If any of the above signals is hoisted before 3:00 p.m., all classes for that day will be cancelled.

​

Once a cancelling signal is issued, all subsequent classes that day remain cancelled, even if the signal is later lowered during normal class hours.

If a cancelling signal is hoisted during class time, the class will normally be cancelled. However, if our coaches have already arrived at the venue safely, the class will continue.(please send us an email to double check in this case) In this case, if you are unable to attend, no refund or make-up lesson will be provided.

 

Other Terms

ESAHK reserves the right to make changes to the coaches, class times, and locations in the event of extraordinary circumstances.

Starting from 1 January 2023, “NWC” discounts (5%) cannot be used concurrently with any other promotions offered by Eliteswim Academy.
